The series brought the actress five Emmy Award nods and received four Golden Globe Award noms. In 2002, she was awarded the Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting actress. The character was reprised on Sex and the City 2 Sex and the City films (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2009). In the 1980s, she played leading roles as a Police Academy Big Trouble Little China Mannequin as well as Porky's. Kim Cattrall comes to mind whenever you think of her character Samantha Jones on the hit HBO television series Sex & the City. Cattrall is making a name for her acting career as an actor. She eventually won the Miss Sweden contest. When she emigrated to the US and appeared in numerous movies as a minor role, her career took off.
